During a Reiki session, whether you’re healing yourself or others, the Kanji hand positions serve as a symbolic gesture to the universe that Reiki energy is required.
The following symbols should be used before every Reiki session:
The first symbol a practitioner uses to connect with Reiki energy represents an important step. To start, stand with your feet slightly apart and maintain a steady stance with your knees slightly bent. Once grounded, close your eyes and place your hands over the heart chakra in the prayer position. To perform the Kanji One hand position, clasp the three fingers back, leaving the index finger and thumb upright. This technique is easy to follow and can significantly enhance the Reiki experience.
This hand gesture is the second symbol used to connect to the Universal Life Force Energy. It connects you to the white light and power of Reiki, increasing its flow. To perform this gesture, raise your second or middle finger and thumb while keeping the rest of your fingers clasped. With your hand in this position, raise it above your head before slowly pulling it down to your heart centre. This action signifies drawing down the white light from above and fully connecting to the Reiki source.
It is common practice to use hand positions before starting a Reiki treatment. This helps to connect and ground your energy. To begin a session, the practitioner can ask the client to close their eyes while standing over their head and then use the symbols as needed.

This session represents the first step in the healing process, by affording first-time clients an opportunity to share their physical and/or emotional health and wellbeing concerns.
The Divine Reiki studio provides a safe and peaceful environment, within which to discuss any such issues, and allows me to answer any questions you may have regarding Reiki Healing.

Simply blend 5 to 20 drops of your favourite essential oil(s) with a tablespoon of carrier oil (we recommend using Grapeseed or Argan oil).
Then gently swirl 3-5 drops of your favourite Eternal Sunshine blend into a warm bath to unlock the therapeutic benefits that pure essential oils have to offer.
